Joey Lye

Toronto native, Joey Lye, joins Entourage Athletics as she trains for the 2021 Olympic Games.
Growing up an outfielder, Joey transitioned to short stop at Williams College and has experience with multiple infield and outfield positions since joining the Canadian National Team
in 2010. Joey is an active athlete within multiple professional organizations having played in the inaugural season of Athletes Unlimited in 2020, for the Canadian Wild of Southern Illinois in
2019, and competing with Team Canada for the past 12 years.
Following graduation, in 2009, Joey began her NCAA coaching career in both softball and ice
hockey spending two years at her alma mater before landing her first head softball coach position in 2011. Joey utilizes six years of NCAA Division III and three years of NCAA Division I softball head coaching experience while impacting the next generation of players.
Joey is excited to help grow the game of softball. She believes strongly in the mental approach, pre-pitch preparation, and building upon solid muscle memory to develop a championship-level skillset.
With a home base in Pennsylvania, Joey is training in various places throughout North America
in preparation for the Tokyo Olympic Games. An undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Coaching and Athletic Administration provide the scholastic backbone for her
career.
